The Future of Trailer Technology

The delivery of goods across various markets is facing a perfect storm, with the ever increasing growth of online shopping, a shortage of CDL drivers, higher fuel costs, and the adoption of EVs with limited delivery range all contributing to the challenge.

What is needed is a cost-efficient delivery model that doesn’t require a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) operator

The solution is smaller more efficient trucks with Smart Wagons, capable of carrying more payload and not requiring a CDL driver.

The standard, non-CDL SMARTPUP chassis has a 34” frame width for mounting standard 10'-12’ bodies from truck body manufacturers.

The non-CDL Objective is to keep the SMARTPUP curb weight around 4,000 pounds yielding a net payload capacity of 6,000 pounds and maintaining the non-CDL exemption.
